Tatyana Ustinova is a writer, screenwriter and TV host.
She was born on 21 April 1968 in a family of aviation engineers spanning back generations. She gradauted the aeromechanics and aircrafts faculty of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
Upon graduating she worked on television and radio: translated the American shows 60 Minutes, 911, Pozner and Donahue. She was the editor of Moscow-Kremlin, From the Horse’s Mouth, worked on Man and Law and Health TV shows. Between 2004 and 2009 she co-hosted a programme Court Hour on REN TV, hosted Live Detective on Russian Radio and Main Theme on Chanson radio.
In 1999 Tatyana Ustinova wrote her first detective novel Storm over the Sea.
In 2004 she received the Russian national television award for Best screenplay for a television film/series for the screenplay for TV series Always Say Always.
Tatyana Ustinova received two Electronic Letter awards for eBooks in Russia: for the novel In a Single Breath (for Detective novel of the year – 2010) and for Uncut Pages (for The most exciting love story – 2011).
